TourCover-Pirate Princess

For a pirate, nothing is forbidden…except love. To gain her freedom, Charlee must seduce the prince. To save the pirate, Prince Petra must win her heart.

BY HONOR ALONE

A handsome war hero, Prince Petra can have his pick of any lady in the kingdom. A man of virtue, he’s saved himself for just the right one. But when the corrupt emperor of Isa Vis kidnaps a duke’s daughter to force her into an alliance, Petra sacrifices himself—and his dreams of love—to save her. Betrothing himself to the distant captive, he leads a daring rescue across the stormy South Sea.

But The Light has other plans. On the voyage, Petra runs afoul of Charlee. Once a prisoner, now a pirate captain, the sultry siren holds him captive with more than just her sword. And when she offers a seductive wager—if he takes her body before they reach the City of Light, she wins absolution for her crimes—it is all he can do to hold firm. While he has every reason to bring Charlee to justice, he’s also finally found a woman he wants more than honor. And he can no more trust her than he can trust himself.

Crazy/Awkward Tour Interview with Kary Rader

Q: Most of the books I read and write have steamy love scenes in them so I’m curious, what do you find sexy?

A: Well, in my romance novels I think strong, possessive men are sexy. In real-life I’d probably not dig them so much. And Honestly, I think it’s super sexy when my husband vacuums and folds laundry.

Q: Your family pet starts talking. What are you most worried she’d/he’d say?

A: I could never worry about our cat Priss. She’s a loyal friend. You know what they say about cats—They always know how their humans are feeling. They know, they just don’t care. LOL

Q: Create a cocktail based on your book. What is its name? What’s in it? How does it knock us off our asses?

A: Oh, the drink would have to be tropical. Lime, coconut and just a little salt. Spicy rum and tequila. Yummy! I think I’ll go have one.

Q: If you had to name a child after a kind of pasta, which pasta would it be?

A: Elbow Macaroni

Q: You’re strapped into a chair and shown the same two movies for fifteen days. One is your favorite and one is the worst movie ever. Which two movies are you watching and what happens to you after fifteen days?

A: The first is Lord of the Rings Return of the Kings. The second is Disney/Pixar’s Planes.

After 15 days I fly Dusty into Mordor to destroy the ring of power myself!

Q: Have you ever made up any words? (follow-up questions: please give the word, define it, and then use it in a sentence)

A: Yes, many. But Seppitent is the villainous creature in my Fantasy novels. He is a man-sized, rainbow colored serpent that walks on two legs. His voice is poison to the mind. “Do not listen Seppitent’s chimes, for it will bring you to madness.”

Q: Which rock star, current or dead, would you have turned into a vampire?

A: I would say Jim Morrison but he’s already The Lizard King.

Q: A TV producer wants to make a soap opera with you as the main character. What is the soap opera called and what is your fancy soap name?

A: The Soap Opera is called Uncertain, set in Uncertain, Texas just like my new contemporary series. And just so you know, I always wanted to be on a soap opera so my name would be Shelly Stone.

Q: You have to create an incense stick, what is it called and what does it smell like?

A: It smells like coffee and bacon then changes and smells like baking bread. It’s called “Stuff to Eat”

Q: Name one odd thing on your desk.

A: A Teenaged Mutant Ninja Turtle ballpoint pen—Leonardo to be specific. Is it scarier that I have the pen at all or that I actually know its name?

It would be scarier to have it on your desk and not know its name, I think. And I’ll have one of those cocktails, too! 😀

Got a question you’d like to ask her or one you want to see on the next crazy/awkward interview? Comment!
