Going Pecans Blog Hop & Giveaway – Kora Walsh rambles (@Henningland)
I’ve joined up on Gina Henning’s blog hop to celebrate the release of her super fun contemporary romance Going Pecans. She’s asked us to write about a time when we were “Going Pecans”. I’ve enlisted my character Kora Walsh from The Only Sorceress series to write about a time when she was “Going Pecans”.
Going Pecans with Kora Walsh (The Only Sorceress)
I don’t bake. I can’t even make macaroni and cheese, so when I was asked to write a blog post for Anya and Gina about pecan pie, I froze. What do I know about pie?
Then they explained that it wasn’t about pecan pie, it was about a time I may have been “Going Pecans”. Ooohh, yeah, I’ve gone pecans plenty of times. I could handle writing about that. The prime reason behind my going nuts is almost always Trip.
In fifteen years my childhood nemesis went from being the bane of my existence in the Greek underworld to a honey-skinned hottie who can only taunt me from the sidelines of the Spirit Realm. Those sidelines keep me sane here in Sedona, Arizona. But I’ve cracked my share of metaphorical pecan shells thanks to Trip even with realms between us.
Take his most recent trick for example. His mother gave him a bracelet that lets him move objects into and out of the Mortal Realm. So what did this wonderfully mature male do? He used it to tangle up the cords on every light at my shop Rarities. When asked what had been the point, he’d declared the point had been to piss me off. And he’s nearly thirty. That drives me nuts.
And let’s not forget disgustingly gorgeous Water witch Desmond Marino. He tried to drive me out of town the first time we met for no other reason than that I wasn’t a witch. If that’s not worthy of going a little nuts, then I don’t know what is.
Wait…I’m supposed to be talking about how I’ve gone nuts, not what drives me nuts? *blush* Er…sorry. I’d revise this to fit the theme better, but my mother just turned up for one of her this-can’t-wait-because-something-bad-is-about-to-happen favors. And no one makes Hecate wait. Not even her daughter.

A warm pie. A tasty guy. Happy Thanksgiving indeed.
Homecomings for Lauren Hauser are always filled with delicious food and hopes for a distraction from her quirky family. The only exception with this visit: she’s been given the challenge of preparing her grandmother’s pie.
Set out on a journey for pecans, Lauren stumbles into Jack a guy who despite his charm (and kissable lips) appears to be in a committed relationship…with his career. His main concern is taking care of a last minute errand for a client, not Lauren or her quest for the key ingredient.
Frazzled in more ways than one, Lauren’s journey improves when Jack rescues her from an icy walk. Attraction and tension rise and soon pecans aren’t the only things getting toasty in the kitchen.
