Crazy/Awkward Interview – Lissa Trevor (@jamiekswriter)
Today Lissa Trevor stopped by for a crazy/awkward interview. There’s also a giveaway to celebrate her book Shifting Currents. Check out the blurb:
After the meteorite wiped out civilization and most of the population, it took thirty years to scrabble together rudiments of society again. Sex is the main currency, for those who haven’t mutated special abilities.
Bethany, a Tech, is able to channel electricity through her body and charge up electronics. When she saves a Shifter girl about to be sold at auction, the girl’s brother, Lucas, offers to repay the debt with his body. While Bethany would love to have Lucas at her beck and call, she’d rather have sex with someone who wanted her as a partner instead of an obligation. But unable to resist the sexy Shifter, she agrees to his terms.
When an opportunity presents itself to travel cross the ravaged countryside to loot the remains of California, Bethany believes this is the best chance for her to find her own brother, a rogue Shifter on the run for a crime he didn’t commit. Lucas wants to go, too, to free his Shifter pack.
The caravan members are expected to provide sexual services to the owners in exchange for passage out and back. As the lines between pleasure and payment become blurred, Bethany struggles to remain human while the pull of the energy feels good enough to leave her meat sack body behind. Can Lucas learn to ground her against the shifting currents?
Crazy/Awkward Tour Interview with Lissa Trevor
Q: Most of the books I read and write have steamy love scenes in them so I’m curious, what do you find sexy?
A: I like the connection between the two characters, that spark that lets them “get” each other that goes beyond the sexual. It’s when the characters realize that it’s more than awesome orgasms.
Q: Create a cocktail based on your book. What is its name? What’s in it? How does it knock us off our asses?
A: The Shifting Currents cocktail would consist of -1/4 oz of Absolut Currant, ¾ oz of DeKuypers Peach Brandy, and 4 oz of orange juice. You drink it!
Q: If you had to name a child after a kind of pasta, which pasta would it be?
Q: What is the most creative tool (one you actually touch) you use when writing a story?
A: I have a rose quartz crystal that I wear in my bra or have on my desk. It’s meant to attract small miracles.
Q: Which rock star, current or dead, would you have turned into a vampire?
A: Ted Nugent, because that much crazy should go on forever.
Q: Which movie star, current or dead, would you have turned into a vampire?
A: Robin Williams. I miss him. A lot. He was one of the few comics that could make me laugh out load.
Q: You have to create an incense stick, what is it called and what does it smell like?
A: It’s called Eau de do da day. It smells like rum punch.
Q: How do you feel about lemurs?
Q: What song do you sing in the shower?
A: I’m All About That Bass.
Q: Fill in the blank: You like stalking __________.
A: Norm Reedus. But only in a non-restraining order sort of way.
